Birria is a spicy and flavoursome Mexican beef stew, that’s slow-cooked until the meat is tender, this creates a
juicy sauce which can be smothered on your dish. Traditionally it is served in a Taco with a dipping pot on the
side made from the juices, but why stop there when this dish is so well loved?

How to prepare
Here are our steps for recreating this dish:
Finely grate your cabbage and onion and chop your coriander to create your slaw. Once done, add the Santa Maria Pickling Spice to your slaw and set to one side
Move on to your Birria beef and mix together all the listed ingredients
The beef pattie needs roughly 20 mins to cook
Place your seasoned meat mix into a slow cooker or place into a pot and cover well.
Pre-heat the oven to 140 degrees, place everything in the oven and allow to cook for 5 hours.
