Shawarma Tacos with Zesty Carrot Salad

Simple tacos with ground beef, shawarma flavours and lemon-infused carrots. A kids’ favourite with no nonsense.

How to prepare

Shawarma mince:

  1. Heat the oil in a pan, add the minced meat and cook until browned.

  2. Add Shawarma Seasoning and Harissa Sauce. Mix well.

  3. Let it cook for a few minutes. If the mixture seems dry, add a little water and let it simmer.

Carrot salad:

  1. Mix the carrots with lemon paste, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  2. Let sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.

Assembling tacos:

  1. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet.

  2. Add carrot salad to the tortillas.

  3. Place the Shawarma minced meat on top of the carrot salad.

  4. Top with sliced avocado, crumbled salad cheese and fresh coriander.

TIP!
For extra crunch, add roasted chickpeas on top of the tacos. It brings a nice texture and a nutty surprise.
