Plant Power Burrito

Plant-based is a trend that is exponentially growing, and it shows no signs of stopping. With this recipe, we have used our Santa Maria Vegetarian Taco Seasoning, which is a ready-made protein flavoured with cumin and chilli. Simply add chopped tomatoes and it's ready to go. Some people define a sofrito sauce as a Mexican pasta/tomato sauce. Whatever you choose to call it, it is the base for many great Mexican recipes. This recipe is ideal with our Vegetarian Taco Seasoning to make the perfect plant power Burrito. Perfect for Food-to-Go and Food Trucks.

Plant Power Burrito

  • 10 Santa Maria Grill Mark Flour Tortilla Wrap

  • 200g Spinach

  • 1500g Sofrito's Mix

  • 500g Santa Maria Avocado Slices

  • 200g Radish, thin sliced

  • 500g Santa Maria Salsa 950g

  • 200g Santa Maria Green Jalapenos 500g

Sofrito

  • 50ml Cooking oil

  • 200g Finely Diced Red Onion

  • 250g Finely Diced Red Pepper

  • 250g Finely Diced Courgette

  • 150g Santa Maria Vegetarian Taco Mix 487g

  • 400g Santa Maria Creole Sauce

How to prepare

  • Fry the red onion, red pepper, and courgette in the oil in a pan. 

  • Add the Taco Seasoning and Creole Sauce 

  • Add 100ml water and simmer for 5/10 minutes 

  • Warm your Tortilla 

  • Add the spinach 

  • Add the rice 

  • Add the sofrito 

  • Add the Salsa 

  • Add the radishes, Jalapeños, and Avocado Slices 

  • Fold you Burrito and serve
