Apple Pie Pancake

One bowl for mixing, one pan for baking and finally one lovely cake.


Number of portions
  • {1,5} tsp Santa Maria Cinnamon, Ground

  • 1 ml Santa Maria Nutmeg, Ground

  • 1 granny smith apple, cut in thin slices

  • 120 ml milk

  • 1 tbsp Santa Maria Vanilla Sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 120 ml wheat flour

  • 2 ml salt

  • 120 ml muscovado sugar or brown sugar

  • 50 g butter

  • Powdered sugar, for serving

  • Whipped cream, for serving

How to prepare

  1. Mix all ingredients except tortillas and chocolate.

  2. Put each tortilla on a piece of plastic film.

  3. Spread the tortillas with filling, roll them, wrap them with plastic and twist the plastic edges tightly.

  4. Put the rolls in the fridge for at least 30 min to make them easy to cut.

  5. Cut each roll into 5–6 stumps and make them stand up.

  6. Melt chocolate in a bowl placed over boiling water.

  7. Dip the tops of the stumps in chocolate or drizzle the chocolate with a fork or a spoon.

  8. Store the carrot cake stumps cold until serving.

Tips! Garnish with edible flowers and/or orange zest strips.
