Cauliflower Gratin made crispy

Crown your comforting cauliflower gratin with Lentil Waves to make it a bit crispier and a whole lot quirkier.


Number of portions
  • 1.2 kg cauliflower

  • 600 g Santa Maria Cheddar Cheese Sauce

  • 400 g low-fat sour cream 13%

  • 300 g cheese, grated

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp Santa Maria Black Pepper

  • 1 tbsp Santa Maria Chili Explosion

  • 100 g green onions, chopped

  • 200 g Santa Maria Snack Base Lentil Waves

  • 2 tbsp Santa Maria Curry Madras

How to prepare

  1. Cut cauliflower into larger pieces, cook until al dente consistency. Drain the water and let the cauliflower steam off. 

  2. Mix cheese sauce, sour cream, salt, pepper and Chili Explosion in a bowl. Add the cauliflower and stir. 

  3. Deep-fry Lentil Waves according to the instructions on the pack and season with curry. 

  4. Put the cheese and cauliflower mixture in a gastro tray. Sprinkle with curry chips and finish with grated cheese. 

  5. Bake at 200°C for about 10–15 minutes until nicely colored. 

  6. Sprinkle chopped green onions, ready to serve. 

Tip! The Cauliflower can be replaced with broccoli or celeriac.
