Cheesy Donut Snacks

Deep-fried balls of choux paste rolled in paprika powder and stuffed with cheese sauce.

Ingredients

  • 500 g water

  • 200 g salted butter

  • 7 g salt

  • 400 g wheat flour

  • 8 eggs

  • 250 g Santa Maria Cheddar Cheese Sauce

  • 1 l oil for deep frying

  • 20 g Santa Maria Smoked Paprika Powder

How to prepare

  1. Bring the water, butter and salt to a boil. Whisk in the flour while keeping the pan on low heat. It now looks like a very firm dough.

  2. Take the pan off the heat and whisk in the eggs, one by one. Put the dough into a piping bag and let it cool down.

  3. Put the cheese sauce into a piping bag with a piping tip.

  4. Heat the oil in a fryer to 180°C. Pipe out the dough and cut into pieces of about 3 cm. Fry until fluffy and golden.

  5. Roll the doughnuts in the SM smoked paprika, pipe SM cheese sauce into each doughnut. Serve!
