Chicken Nuggets with Salsa

Crispy chicken nuggets with a cool crème fraiche dressing and umami-rich tomato salsa.


Number of portions
Crispy nuggets:
  • 1 kg filet of chicken legs

  • 30 g natural oil

  • 100 g Santa Maria Crispy Bites 

  • 400 ml Santa Maria Rio Grande Salsa

  • 300 ml crème fraiche

  • 100 g spring onion, thinly sliced

  • 50 g coriander, chopped

  • 4 limes, wedges

How to prepare

  1. Preheat the oven to 225°C.

  2. Cut the chicken into approximately 3x3 cm pieces.

  3. Place the chicken in a bowl, add oil and the crispy bite seasoning.

  4. Distribute the well-seasoned chicken on a greased oven tray.

  5. Bake the nuggets for approximately 15 minutes, until the chicken has a nice golden color and is cooked through.

  6. Serve the nuggets with salsa and crème fraiche.

  7. Garnish with spring onion, coriander and lime wedges.


These nuggets are nice to serve wrapped in warm tortillas with extra salad.
